Elixir Eats: Hearty Hemp Protein Balls.

Our hemp plant based protein balls are the perfect pre or post work out snack, elevensies or to beat that 3pm slump. These really are hearty and will not only satisfy your sweet tooth, but will give you a bit more get up and go during your busy day.
PROTEIN is essential for building toned, strong and healthy muscles. You should always incude protein in every meal to keep keep up a good metabolism and cravings at bay.

Ingredients
4 tablespoons hemp protein powder
1 bar creamed coconut. We used Biona.
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 cup almonds
14 medjool dates
1 tablesppon morninga powder
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
3 tablespoons chia seeds + extra for rolling
makes roughly 16-18 balls
Prep
You can buy ready ground almonds prior to making.
How we did it
if you are making with whole almonds, grind down in a food processor until is forms a fine bread crumb consistency.
Add all dry ingredients and continue to mix together.
Then add coconut oil, creamed coconut and dates and mix together until you get a sticky mixture.
Roll by hand into balls and coat in chia seeds if desired!
Pop in the fridge or freezer to set. We reccomend freezing in ready to go portions!
ELIXIR TIP: Make energy balls in big batches, you will have handy healthy snacks at reach for weeks!
