Sometimes, you just need to be able to whip up a really quick snack that is satisfying, nutritious and won’t take up too much precious time. We all know how easy it is to grab a packet of sweets, chocolates or bag of crisps, but unfortunately these foods have poor nutrition and are primarily made up of artificial ingredients. Here we have a couple of ’60 second snacks’ which literally take less than a minute to make and promote a healthier lifestyle.

  • Multitude of vitamins and minerals

  • Natural sugars

  • Healthy fats, fibre and protein

  • Plants based ingredients and suitable for vegans

  • Free from the inflammation causing food groups, such as gluten and dairy

  • Energy and endurance

  • Curbs sugar cravings

  • Something the whole family can enjoy

  • A healthy weight and metabolism

  • Mindfulness and creativity!

Cashew Butter Celery Boats

Who else knows these as ants on logs? Build up your celery boats with a mini army of superfoods. We used creamy cashew butter for a base, then topped with delicious goji berries and cacao nibs. Celery is great source of sodium and potassium which helps to maintain a healthy electrolyte balance. As well as refreshing and hydrating your mind and cells, celery has the power to cool and cleanse the body which may help reduce inflammation and water retention. Crunching on these will benefit your skin and waistline for those who may be watching their weight, they contain very little calories yet fill you up.

Speedy Special Dates

For something sweeter, we recommend swapping your celery sticks for medjool dates. Medjool dates in particular, are deliciously soft, squishy and chewy, making a really satisfying and energy boosting snack. If you are looking for something small and sweet after dinner, then they are the perfect natural treat.

Why Dates are so Special:

  • Prevent and relieve constipation.

  • A multivitamin fruit, including potassium, magnesium, calcium, B vitamins, vitamin A and zinc.

  • Great source of iron for those who suffer with anaemia .

  • Natural plant sugars with a low/medium GI, for instant and longer lasting energy.

  • Source of polyphenols.
