Elixir Eats: Ready To Run Dates.

In a rush and need something super tasty and energising? Perhaps your batch of energy balls has somehow dissapeared? You could have sworn there was a portion left in the freezer... Not to fear, we have come up with a really quick and simple way to whip your pre run snack and it only has 4 ingredients.

Ingredients

3 medjool dates (or 10)

1 tablespoon almond butter

1 teaspoon maca powder

1 teaspoon chia seeds

makes as many dates as you like!

Ready. Set. GO.

DATES: Full of fibre and natural sugars for healthy digestion and energy.

ALMOND BUTTER: Packed with protein, Vitamin E and healthy fats

MACA: a powerful feel good super root which enhanses stamina and performance.

CHIA SEEDS: a complete protein and full of Omegas.

Prep

What prep? These are quick to make!

How we did it

Mix up almond butter, maca powder and chia seeds in a small bowl

Pull apart the medjool dates, removing the stones if they are not already pitted

Stuff the dates generously with the mixure and devour immediately.

ELIXIR TIP: Make this in a big batch for a fun sharing platter if you are entertaining, or a 1 person platter for slobbing however, remember to be mindful of dates, they are still a form of sugar Add cocao powder to the mix if you need a chocolate fix.
