Happy Easter everyone. Or happy chocolate bunny day as Olivia likes to call it! And yes, Easter is another time of year where we get the excuse to inhale lots of chocolate! We see Easter as a great time to celebrate vitality, life and new beginnings. Easter always falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the northern spring equinox. Some people participate in ‘Lent’, a 40 day period of fasting, which is a spiritual discipline in preparation for Easter. There is usually a lot of yummy treats over the Easter period, as a celebration and reward for their fasting journey, hence why a lot of people choose to give up chocolate. The idea of setting yourself a discipline is a really powerful experience, which builds strong character and will power. Whether it is drinking more water, walking to work or giving up fizzy drinks, we feel that anyone can achieve their goals if they really work for it.
We’ve put together 50 HEALTHY HABITS for you to think about over the Easter weekend. Maybe you can relate to a few of these, or even all of them! At Elixir we always promote health and wellbeing, the more people we can inspire to lead a healthy lifestyle the happier we are.
