TYPES & TIPS
Swedish - a massage using long strokes and gentle kneading.
Aromatherapy - a massage where blends of essential oils are chosen especially for you, to naturally enhance relaxation and promote healing.
Deep tissue - consists of long strokes and deep finger pressure, focusing on points of muscle tension and knots.
Sports massage - a deep tissue massage beneficial for those who do strenuous exercise and need to condition overused and tired muscles.
Lymphatic - a flowing technique is used to help lymphatic fluid move through out the body, a gentle detox.
Lava shell - a flowing massage using alternate strokes of hands and warm tiger clam shells which are worked over the specified areas.
Hot stone - smooth heated stones are placed on the body to bring warmth to sore muscles.
HYDROTHERM MASSAGE
Hydrotherm is a truly unique, three-dimensional massage technique, which allows your therapist to slide her oiled hands under, over and around your body whilst you lie face-up on two large cushions filled with warm water - one under the back and shoulders and one under the legs. Support is provided under the knees, taking the pressure off any tender spots, particularly in the lumbar area which facilitates perfect spinal alignment.
The warm water is very effective for relaxing muscles and once lying on the cushions there is no need to turn over half way through your treatment, enabling you to fully relax and enjoy your massage.
Advantages of Hydrotherm
The advantages of Hydrotherm Massage are numerous. Quite apart from achieving new heights of relaxation during a comfortable, undisturbed treatment, the system is particularly beneficial to those clients who cannot physically lay face-down: pregnant ladies, the elderly and those with reduced mobility. All can receive a Hydrotherm Massage without the discomfort associated with a conventional massage.

Tips
Arrive early to unwind - the last thing you want to do is rush in last minute, out of breath, struggling with bags of food shopping, it will only heighten your stress levels. Plan your day around your treatment, so you can come in ready to relax. If you are a new client, we recommend arriving 15 minutes early to fill out a consultation form.
Turn off your phone, you don't want any distractions or unwanted phone calls to ruin the mood.
Don’t be afraid to tell your therapist if you have any specific aches and pains. They can tailor the treatment for you by working on those areas, we want you to feel your most comfortable.
Try not to eat a big meal before a massage, you will be lying on your back or front which might make you feel full and sick. The therapist may also be working on your abdomen depending on the treatment, if you are bloated from food this may be uncomfortable for you.
Avoid strenuous exercise or stressful activities after a treatment, take it easy and relax as much as possible. This will really enhance the benefits of your massage.
Always drink lots of water after a massage to rehydrate and flush out all those toxins.
